After two years heading the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Lou Sandoval is out.

Sandoval joined the organization as President & CEO in November of 2023, replacing Todd Maisch, who passed away a few months earlier.

Sandoval was not a statehouse insider like his predecessor and was a more public face of the organization (including doing my radio show last week).

Sandoval confirmed his departure in a text message Monday but didn’t give any reason.

A statement from the Chamber confirmed Sandoval’s departure and said “we wish Lou the best in his future endeavors.”

Board Chairman Dan Wagner will serve as interim President & CEO.
