Governor JB Pritzker was taken to a Springfield hospital late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, his campaign confirms.

Pritzker experienced a “complication” from a urology procedure he underwent May 1. He was discharged early Thursday and returned to the Governor's mansion. He has continued to keep up his schedule.

The Governor's campaign did not provide any further details.

Multiple media outlets reported the Governor’s office flatly denied questions about Pritzker’s hospitalization and later reversed themselves. His official staff did not respond to initial inquiries from The Illinoize.
