Sen. Willie Preston Enters Congressional Race

Sen. Willie Preston (D-Chicago) will seek the 2nd Congressional District being vacated by Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-Matteson).

Sen. Willie Preston (D-Chicago) became the latest midterm Democratic Senator to attempt to move up.

Preston announced Wednesday he’ll seek the 2nd Congressional District seat being vacated by Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-Matteson).

He joins Sen. Robert Peters (D-Chicago) and Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller are in the race. Former Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. has also said he’s considering entering the race for his old seat.
