Salvi Not Resigning...Yet

We told you during the Illinois State Fair that Illinois GOP Chair Kathy Salvi had told members of the State Central Committee that she planned to resign, likely by the end of this month. We stand by that reporting.
But, we were told yesterday, Salvi has apparently had a change of heart.
A source close to the GOP Chair said Salvi is proceeding with “business as usual.”
Another source said she was “reinvigorated” after a Republican National Committee meeting last week in Atlanta.
“She’s not going anywhere anytime soon,” the first source said.
We reached out to Salvi but didn’t hear back.
