Republican Cervantez Confirms AG Campaign

We told you last month that Joe Cervantez, the former State’s Attorney in Jackson County in southern Illinois, planned to launch a campaign for Illinois Attorney General.
The Southern Illinoisan newspaper may have jumped the gun on a formal announcement, but Cervantez confirmed Tuesday he’ll be running for AG next year. A formal announcement is expected Thursday at the Illinois State Fair, we’re told.
