We told you yesterday that we had heard that Sen. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) had been offered the Lieutenant Governor slot by prospective GOP gubernatorial candidate Ted Dabrowski and that she had said “no,” but Bryant called yesterday to clarify her status next year.
Bryant says she has discussed the position with Dabrowski, but that he hasn’t made a final decision on a running mate.
Bryant is midterm and wouldn’t have to give up her southern Illinois seat to seek the LG post next year.
We asked Bryant if Dabrowski offered her the slot on the ticket if she would accept and she said “yes.”
